Abstract

This article aims to expose reflections on the implementation of didactic-pedagogical work applied at the Visconde de Guarapuava State College - Elementary, Middle and Normal Education in Guarapuava, Paraná, as part of the PDE - Educational Development Program. The work developed aimed at analyzing literary works and their respective cinematographic adaptations, with high school students, and had the theoretical bias of Critical Discourse Analysis, which emphasizes the importance of “world readings”, regarding power relations present in contemporary society, which place adolescents in a universe that is seldom seen in a critical way, which promotes reflections and changes in their life practices. The research is of a qualitative nature, bibliographic, centered mainly on the authors Fairclough (2012) and Van Dijk (2015), and field research. The literary and cinematographic works analyzed were: Dom Casmurro ([1899] 1985) - Machado de Assis - Filme Dom (Direction: Moacyr Góes, 2003); The hour of the star ([1977] 1998) - Clarice Lispector - Film The hour of the star (Direction: Suzana Amaral, 1987); Essay on lucidity (2004) - José Saramago; Desmundo (1996) - Ana Miranda - Homonymous film (ALAN FRESNOT, 2003). The relevant contributions from the point of view of deepening different forms of reading, as well as the consequent deepening in the analysis of power relations present in social relations were highlighted.
