In the present context, there are several works that have been devoted to discussing reading and writing in university space, seeking to understand the process of appropriating the words of others. In this work, we adopted the conception of writing as a process in which the students are trained for the research, so they are in a process of writing research in formation. Thus, we try to trace a contextualization of the epistemological importance of the sociossemiotic conception and the extended conception of academic literacy and its implications for university life. We will link the discussion from our teaching, research and extension experience developed in an institutional program of academic support to undergraduate students. In this direction, we indicate the literacy projects as an alternative for the development of a work contextualized with the discursive genres.
