It is with great enthusiasm that we present an edition entirely dedicated to exploring the rich and multifaceted intersections between Cinema and Philosophy.

In Cinema, Philosophy is articulated with Art, at the level of an “aesthetic practice” that challenges us and saves us from our anxieties of trivial, monotonous daily life, where hours, minutes, seconds are the same, as is everything that happens to us inside, that is, people and relationships. The encounter between Philosophy and Cinema has, therefore, a “soteriological” purpose, that is, to rescue us from the pessimistic “sameness” of a closed, suicidal life, and to open us to the existential debt that we must pay in the name of a meaning, whose reference exists: the duty to build a story made of flaws and graces. It is in this happy hermeneutical confluence of two epistemological perspectives that we also find ourselves here, with this unique, unprecedented edition, where the visual, rational and poetic, are expressed.
