ESCOLA DE EDUCAÇÃO FAMILIAR DE LONDIRNA THROUGH DOCUMENTS (1960 – 1970)

Abstract

This article seeks to present the Escola de Educação Familiar de Londrina through official school documents to broaden the understanding of the History of Education of women in the city. Therefore, this investigation started from photographs located in the collection in constitution of the MEL – Museu Escolar de Londrina, has as sources the school documentation located in the collection of the Núcleo Regional de Educação de Londrina (NRE-Londrina). The theoretical field of this research dialogues with authors such as Jane Soares de Almeida (2014) and Jacques LeGoff (2013) to address the issue of female education in 20th century Brazil and the document as a historical source. The institution's official documentation is a historical source for the area of National, regional, and local History of Education, enabling the understanding of the History of Education of women in the 1960s and 1970s out of the Escola de Educação Familiar de Londrina, expanding the panorama of History of Women's Education in the City and producing new material to compose the collection of MEL.
