PROBLEMATIZANDO FANATISMO E HOMOLOGAÇÃO

Abstract

Paulo Freire had already understood some of the current elements in the second half of the last century. He spoke of a fanatical conscience as the exasperation of the naive conscience. The expression of banking education is perhaps even more appropriate today, when the financial discourse appropriates educational vocabulary and practice. The emphasis on dialogue appears the more necessary in the construction of subjectivities capable of open and authentic communication. In fact, Paulo Freire's criticism is so current because it does not refer to simple attitudes, but to an ideological-political system that was strengthened even more with the advance of capitalism. Therefore, celebrating the centenary does not mean institutionalizing his name, but broadening, problematizing even more the questions that emerge from his extraordinary work.
