Abstract

We have been carrying out studies and writings in the light of theories on autoethnography. We have sought to discuss a black feminist perspective and dialogue constituted from two voices that lead an echo beyond the individual spheres. Our reflections have been, with greater emphasis, in the areas of theories about women and science, diverse racisms and gender and racial inequalities. Specifically, the working environment of black PhD professors has been our locus of analysis and problematization. In this text, we intend to bring some of our experiences and experiencing about black women and science, showing how the markers of race and racism influence our respective trajectories as research professors. We seek to give clues and visibility to the challenges faced in these crossings, as well as our agency tactics. Thus, it is our objective to present, from black feminist autoethnography and dialogue, practices, epistemes and praxis carried out by us: black doctoral professors in graduate programs.
