Introduction

Abstract

The proposal for this Dossier took shape at the last meeting, with the idea of ​​publishing a special issue on Subnational Politics in Latin America, with invited colleagues, but also open to the entire community with productions that fit the theme. The journal Teoría e Cultura of UFJF accepted the appeal, kindly offering the space for its implementation. In the end, we had 12 validated articles. They are texts with diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives, covering topics such as electoral processes, political representation, state capacities, government actions, systems and policies within the subnational judiciary, among others.
