Abstract

The present work aims to understand aspects of the intersections of the phenomenon of violence with the city and the school space from elements of the landscape. The school is understood as an important socio-spatial fraction of the city and a product of social practices and interventions expressed in its spatiality, with its continuous transformation as a fixed element. For this, problematizations were developed with authors who think about the city and field research was carried out for experiences and image recordings for the composition of analyzes and systematizations. It is verified throughout the discussions that the understanding of the spatialization of violence applied to the school context is an exercise in reading the world from the geographical point of view. Instability is evident in the city's landscape, which is affected by the multiple expressions of violence that dialectically transform material and symbolic relationships into objects and equipment that make up the urban space.
