In general, the social sciences live the gift of eternal youth. This is because their methods and theories are always connected to society in such a way that any change causes researchers to be forced to rethink their positions. In this sense, the social transformation triggered with the advent of the new coronavirus pandemic relegated the most experienced in the area to reconfigure the way of doing the research. In anthropology it would be no different. Thus, this text aims to bring up two subject experiences of two researchers who have chosen ethnography as their methodology. It should be emphasized that one of these researches was done with individuals in their networks of contemporary relationships, in the present time; whereas the second is a construction of a documentary ethnography. In spite of the differences, those two experiences talk about the methods adapted to the new reality of anthropological research within social science.
