The article seeks to argue that even criticizing the understanding of Carl Schmitt's politician and expressing himself about the insufficiency of the German jurist's interpretation in The Concept of Politics in solving the problems of modern Western society, Leo Strauss still reverberates, implicitly, and perhaps even unconscious, certain Schmittian notions in his political theory. At the end we will release some brief indications, a hypothesis of future work, of how these complex issues of Straussianism were present in the neo-conservatives in the United States.
