Article from bibliographic research and empirical report as a resident in family and community health in the Dourado district, Horizonte-CE. It brings reflections on the work developed in a multidisciplinary team with the group of pregnant women in the locality between the years 2018-2019 through the articulation between the debate on the contributions of feminism from categories such as social relations of sex, sexual division of labor, sexual and reproductive rights and maternity together with formulations about primary health care, health education groups and maternal and child health. By exploring the local reality, it was possible to identify similarities with the experiences of other groups, difficulties and obstacles in the operationalization and innovations that foster new professional practices in health. It is confusing to affirm that the groups of pregnant women qualify primary care services, are opposed to the medical-hegemonic logic and, at the same time, can contribute politically to the construction of an emancipated society without oppression and exploitation between the sexes.
