Mindfulness, fantasía y depresión

Resumen

Mindfulness o la atención plena parece ser un factor protector contra la depresión. Por otro lado, parece haber una asociación positiva entre la apertura a la fantasía y la depresión. Este estudio tiene como objetivo investigar el efecto mediador de la atención plena en la fantasía y la depresión. 153 personas de entre 18 y 65 años respondieron un formulario electrónico. Se realizó un análisis de mediación entre las facetas de la atención plena, la fantasía y la depresión. Los resultados sugieren que la fantasía es un predictor de depresión, pero el rasgo de atención plena, especialmente el no juzgar, media en esta relación.

Psicólogo, Estudiante de Maestría en el Programa de Posgrado en Neurociencia Cognitiva y Comportamental de la Universidad Federal de Paraíba (UFPB) e investigadora del Laboratorio de Ecología y Psicobiología Comportamental (LECOPSI).

Danilo Andrade de Meneses, Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB)

Licenciado en Ciencias Biológicas por la Universidad Federal de Paraíba (2011). Durante la graduación, trabajó con el efecto anestésico de las plantas medicinales sobre el sistema nervioso periférico utilizando las técnicas de single sucrose gap (en nervio ciático) y patch clamp (en neurona). Esta investigación le valió el premio Joven Investigador de la UFPB y el Honor al Mérito de la Federación de Sociedades de Biología Experimental (FESBE). Máster en Historia de las Ciencias y Técnicas y Epistemología (HCTE) por la Universidad Federal de Rio de Janeiro, donde trabajó con análisis fractal sobre la conductancia de la piel durante la expresión artística (pintura). También es artista finalista en el premio del concurso de arte TALENGE (6to lugar) y en el Salón de Nuevos Artistas SESC (2013) bajo el seudónimo Moveo. Trabajó como profesor universitario (2016-2019) en el Instituto de Educação Superior da Paraíba (UNIESP) y actualmente es becario de doctorado en el programa de posgrado en Neurociencia y Comportamiento (PPGNEC) de la UFPB. Investigar la relación entre mindfulness, creatividad, personalidad y salud mental.

Luiz Carlos Serramo Luiz Carlos Serramo, Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB)

Graduado en Biología y Psicología, con maestría y doctorado en la Universidad Federal de Río de Janeiro. Actualmente es profesor adjunto en la Universidad Federal de Paraíba (UFPB) donde coordina el Laboratorio de Ecología del Comportamiento y Psicobiología. Es investigador colaborador del programa "Mente Aberta" de investigación y extensión en mindfulness de la Unifesp. Es asesor acreditado en los Programas de Posgrado en Neurociencia Cognitiva (PPGNeC) y Desarrollo y Medio Ambiente (Prodema) de la UFPB. Trabaja en el área de psicofisiología del estrés, neurociencias e intervenciones basadas en mindfulness y autocompasión.
