Coping de Pessoas Idosas no Contexto da Infodemia de Covid-19

To understand how the coping developed by older people through the COVID-19 infodemic was. unique case study, a qualitative approach to Lazarus and Folkman's coping. Data were collected between August 2021 and May 2022, through online semi-structured interviews with 30 elderly people in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. used public documents to compose the data collected. The data were analyzed using Content Analysis, categorical thematic modality. OpenLogos software version 2. systematized the data. Coping strategies for older people in the COVID-19 infodemic were analyzed, highlighting coping centered on action and emotion. Older adults sought reliable information and acted assertively in prevention, reducing negative impacts. In addition, they resorted to emotional strategies, such as support in social networks and spiritual practices
