Social Determinants of Health and Vulnerabilization of Black Populations

This research develops and analyzes a database on Social Determinants of Health and vulnerability among black groups in different regions of South, Central and North America. This is a systematic review of empirical studies from the Pubmed, Cochrane Library, American Psychological Association and Virtual Health Library databases. The sample is composed of 36 studies containing a total of 8963 cases. Vulnerabilities were identified in Access to Essential Health Services (55.2% of the sample); Income (29.5%); Work (16.4%); Environment (8.5%); Food (5.2%); Education (5%); Physical Activity (3.5%); Leisure (1.9%).
