About the Journal
Psicologia em Pesquisa is a four-monthly electronic journal of the Postgraduate Program in Psychology, Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and its target audience is researchers, teachers and psychology professionals and other related areas. In 2021, the journal adopted the rolling pass system of publication.
Its main objective is to promote scientific production and interchange in Psychology and its related fields. Thus, it prioritizes the publication of original manuscripts reporting results of empirical or theoretical investigations. Other original scientific communications relevant to Psychology and its related fields, such as literature reviews, theoretical essays, book reviews, interviews, and professional experience reports, are also published. Manuscripts can be submitted in Portuguese, English or Spanish.
The journal publishes articles of three specific areas, according to the description below:
Human Development and Socio-Educational Processes: articles in the area of Developmental Psychology that investigate or discuss the multiple variables associated to human development throughout the life course, be they cognitive, affective, social and / or biological. Articles in the area of School Psychology that investigate and discuss the formal and informal educational processes.
Psychosocial Processes in Health: articles in the areas of Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology or Social Psychology that investigate and understand the relationship between individuals or groups in the various themes related to psychosocial aspects in the context of health.
History and Philosophy of Psychology: Articles of theoretical-conceptual research of the historical and philosophical foundations of psychology in the context provided by the history of ideas, history of science, philosophy of science, philosophy of mind and phenomenology, as well as by the possible intersections between these different disciplines And philosophical traditions.
With the goal of ensuring an impartial evaluation and promoting an exchange between authors and their peers, all manuscripts submitted to Research Psychology are evaluated according to a blind peer review process, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in All ethical aspects, and especially in cases of misconduct and plagiarism in academic publications.
