Mindfulness, fantasia e depressão: um estudo de mediação

Resumo

O traço de mindfulness, ou atenção plena, parece ser um fator protetivo contra depressão.
Por outro lado, existe uma associação positiva entre fantasia e depressão. O objetivo dessa
pesquisa foi investigar o efeito mediador da mindfulness sobre fantasia e depressão.
Participaram 153 indivíduos com idade entre 18 e 65 anos por meio de formulário
eletrônico. Foi realizada uma análise de mediação entre as cinco facetas de mindfulness,
fantasia e depressão. Os resultados sugerem que a fantasia é preditora de depressão, mas, o
traço mindfulness, especialmente a faceta não julgamento, é mediador dessa relação.

Joel Jonathan Carvalho Tavares, Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB)

Psicólogo, Mestrando no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Neurociência Cognitiva e Comportamento pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) e pesquisador no Laboratório de Ecologia Comportamental e Psicobiologia (LECOPSI).

Danilo Andrade de Meneses, Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB)

Bacharel e Licenciado em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (2011). Durante a graduação trabalhou com o efeito anestésico de plantas medicinais no sistema nervoso periférico utilizando as técnicas de single sucrose gap(em nervo isquiático) e patch clamp (em neurônio). Essa pesquisa lhe rendeu os prêmios de Jovem Pesquisador pela UFPB e a Honra ao Mérito pela Federação de Sociedades de Biologia Experimental (FESBE). Mestre em História das ciências e das técnicas e epistemologia(HCTE) pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, onde trabalhou com análise fractal em condutância de pele durante a expressão artística (pintura). Também é artista plástico finalista do prêmio TALLENGE art contest (6º lugar) e do Salão dos novos artistas do SESC (2013) com o pseudônimo Moveo. Trabalhou como professor universitário (2016-2019) no Instituto de Educação Superior da Paraíba (UNIESP) e atualmente é bolsista de doutorado no programa de pós-graduação em Neurociência e Comportamento (PPGNEC) da UFPB. Pesquisa a relação entre mindfulness, criatividade, personalidade e saúde mental.

Luiz Carlos Serramo Lopez, Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB)

Graduado em Biologia e Psicologia , com mestrado e doutorado pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Atualmente é professor adjunto da Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) onde coordena o Laboratório de Ecologia Comportamental e Psicobiologia. É pesquisador colaborador do programa "Mente Aberta" de pesquisa e extensão em mindfulness da Unifesp. É orientador credenciado nos Programas de Pós Graduação em Neurociência Cognitiva (PPGNeC) e Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente (Prodema) da UFPB. Atua na área de psicofisiologia do estresse, neurociências e intervenções baseadas em mindfulness e auto-compaixão.
