Estímulos emocionais não são imunes ao efeito de conformidade de memória

Conformidade de memória ocorre quando relatos de memória de um indivíduo são alterados após exposição aos relatos de outro indivíduo. Em dois experimentos, avaliamos se a emocionalidade dos estímulos modera o efeito de conformidade de memória de reconhecimento. No Experimento 1, avaliamos se o intervalo estudo-teste afetaria diferencialmente a conformidade para estímulos negativos e neutros. No Experimento 2, modificamos o delineamento para intensificar o efeito de emoção sobre a memória. Em ambos os experimentos, a conformidade foi similar para estímulos negativos e neutros. Os resultados sugerem que estímulos emocionais não são imunes a distorções de memória de origem social.
