Abstract

In this article we propose to analyze, through Patrick Charaudeau's Semiolinguistic Theory, the enunciative behavior present in two Youtube videos, in which two religious representatives, one from the Roman Catholic Church and the other from the neo-Pentecostal church, Assembly of God Victory in Cristo do Brasil uses this media platform to take a stand against the practice of abortion and its legalization, after a specific case of abortion, authorized by the justice and carried out in Recife on 08/16/2020 in a 10-year-old girl, victim of rape. After transcribing, describing and analyzing the data and observing the categories related to the enunciative mode of organization, provided for in Charaudeau (2019), it was possible to identify some discursive strategies used by them to build a pathetic discourse that can reach a large number of believers.
