A visão de Cícero sobre a destruição de Corinto

O objetivo deste artigo é discutir a destruição de Corinto sob a perspectiva da teoria realista ofensiva das relações internacionais. Embora o estudo esteja centrado em dois autores principais, ele dará ênfase especial à obra "De Officiis" de Cícero, que oferece insights valiosos sobre as motivações e intenções romanas. A abordagem realista ajuda a compreender as possíveis razões subjacentes ao ato romano, sugerindo que os romanos atuaram para garantir a segurança da região diante de uma ameaça grega. Este enfoque teórico contribui para a justificativa proposta neste estudo de que os romanos agiram de forma estratégica para assegurar sua posição frente aos desafios apresentados pelos gregos
