Violências no processo de integração italiana (Séc. I A.C.): Relações entre a Lex Licinia Mucia e a implosão da guerra social

Resumen

La historia de la República Romana estuvo marcada por conflictos cuyo núcleo, generalmente, fue la cuestión de la ciudadanía. Sin embargo, en un intento de evitar la inmigración a Roma y la posterior adquisición de ciudadanía por parte de sus aliados y comunidades conquistadas, los magistrados romanos aprobaron repetidamente medidas legislativas destinadas a eliminar este contingente de la vida cívica romana. Aprobada en el año 95 a.C., la Lex Licinia Mucia pretendía por tanto expulsar a estos individuos de Roma; lo que dio lugar a la Guerra Social unos años más tarde. Así, en este artículo analizamos los dolorosos pasos que llevaron a la integración italiana en la República Romana, comenzando con la Lex Licinia Mucia y llegando a la implosión de la Guerra Social.

Amanda Fontes, UFRJ

Mestra e doutoranda pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em História Comparada (PPGHC) da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). É membro do Laboratório de História Antiga (LHIA) da UFRJ desde 2015. Possui pesquisa em andamento no campo da história política, social e econômica, com atenção à participação feminina na cena política da República tardia e sua administração patrimonial.
