This article addresses the theme of human rights and citizenship based on the 1988 Federal Constitution of Brazil and the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). It aims to identify how the debate on this theme is reflected in the constitutional text and in the document of the United Nations (UN). Furthermore, it seeks to examine the evolution and consolidation of human rights and citizenship in Brazilian society. To this end, the study draws on the 1988 Constitution and the UDHR, as well as on the theoretical frameworks referenced, which contribute to this investigation.
