Abstract

This work has as main discussion the issue of autonomy in anarchist education, seeking relationships with Foucault's thinking. By reading classical anarchist writers such as Proudhon, Bakunin, Reclus, Kropotkin, we attempt to analyze the meanings that the idea of autonomy presents these theoretical, relating them to the ideas of freedom, denial of authoritarianism and preservation of individuality. On Foucault we detach elements that may be related to anarchist ideas, especially: the aesthetics of existence and self care; subjectivity and not mediated by disciplinary apparatuses. Thus, we work with aspects of the ethical dimension of Foucault's theory, which worked for him in the final phase of his life. Finally, we compared the concepts autonomy and self care, freedom and subjectivity, seeking points of dissonance and confluence.
