With the progress in the number of registered cases of HIV/AIDS and the changes noticed in the profile of the attacked population, educating in health becomes fundamental tool, permeating the practices developed by the professionals of health, one of the actors involved in the educational process of the care. The sense of Education in Health adopted in this work it is ruled in the critical perspective of educating tends in view the largest opening of the educational processes guided by the Popular Education - for besides the acquisition of information -, extolling the right to the health, the qualified attendance in HIV and the users' participation while subject of rights, with views to assist the user in an integral way. The present article has for objective to discuss current perspectives on the employment of the Education in Health as strategic contribution in the practices of health returned to HIV/AIDS - given to the new configurations that the same has been presenting in Brazilian reality -, detaching the paper of the team in this process.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
