THE ART OF WELLCOMING THROUGH THE VISIT OF JOY

Visit of Joy Project started in 2007 in Jardim Itu Health Unit of the Department of Community Health / Grupo Hospitalar Conceição, Porto Alegre / RS. The experience of working with "clowns" in the hospitals was inspiring for the project. The project is developed through scheduled visits to the users of Home Care Program (HCP) in pre-defined dates. The work aims to promote health through laughter, in view of the humanization of care and health promotion, role of services in Primary Health The project aims to: promote moments of joy to patients and family members, strengthen the link between health team and the users of the HCP, developing actions aimed at the humanization of care, humanize the work relationships through recreational activities, and building the identity of the workers through the process of creative work. The visit is performed with a fixed team coordinator, with the participation of several members of the health team as their desire and availability. The interventions are planned, in a collective way and those who will participate in the visits work in a collective script: music, drama sketches, "bullshit" and improvisation, according to the interaction with users, in celebration of significant dates. The popular education comes in with its principles of establishment of dialogue between workers, promoting construction of identity, interaction between different knowledge, also promote knowledge through art. With the work based on the principles of primary health care, the team realizes the USJI be essential to the promotion of care strengthening the bond between users and workers. As an indication of the importance of this work is found in the houses' small mimosa 'left in each visit of joy, in a prominent place in the environments in which they live.Downloads
