Intersectorial care: promoting coordination between the health team and a family day care

This report presents the experience of a project developed with a Family Health Program team and a public day care center in their geographic jurisdiction. Its objective was to articulate the social facilities to promote intersectoral action with a view to enhance the actions by health education. Meetings were held with the day care center professionals and their work routine was monitored, which nurtured the recognition of its daily care and education production. Throughout the process, conflict was perceived as well as the need to strengthen the bond between the team of health educators and day care center. The strategies used to articulate the issues of shares were raised with the demands of educators and their discussion at the meeting of the health team, proposals <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
for workshops on health education with the teachers, meetings for joint planning and health care of children referenced by educators. The construction of the partnership is still in process, and it is possible to observe that the approximation of the workers of the two services and the articulation of their actions contribute in changing the health practices. It contributes for health promotion and strengthens the National Health System as their principles are reflected in the daily services.
