Ana Lins dos Guimarães Peixoto Bretas, born in Goiás, became known as Cora Coralina because of her work full of memories. Even though she started her writing career late, she left her mark on Brazilian history as a popular poet. In this way, she achieved recognition as one of the most important representatives of Brazilian Literature. This study on the brief Coralina tale "River of Life" reveals new aspects of the interaction between art and religion, a profoundly human theme that challenges the artist to respond creatively, demonstrating their spirituality. It is a tale that prompts reflection on the present and future in a terrestrial and cosmic communion. Its objective is the mysticism, strength, and universal maternal appeal in the power to recreate a lived experience from her singular poetic work. Artistic expression, therefore, is also a spiritual practice. In this context, we encounter Cora Coralina, an artist from Goiás who adeptly interpreted the culture and world around her, transforming them into poetry. Her writings emit a sense of spirituality, irrespective of religion, making her an authentic mystic of our era.
