The psychoanalysis in France: from Charcot to Régis and Hesnard’s freudism

The present work revisits the process of diffusion of Psychoanalysis in France. The text covers the psychoanalytic theory within the historical context of the pre-psychoanalytic period – in which Freud studies at Charcot in France, learning lessons on hysteria treatment –, goes through the quarrel established between Freud and Janet – regarding the discovery of the unconsciousness and its processes of subjectivation –, and ends with the process of diffusion of Freudism in France, as from the works of Régis and Hesnard. As of this perspective, the text complements the studies on the History of Psychoanalysis, as it offers a synthesis on neuralgic points of the development of Freudian theory in France
