Abstract

By addressing digital violence as a violation of human rights, this article analyzes the hate comments directed at the Brazilian duo ANAVITÓRIA through announcements of their European tour in 2025. The research investigates how manifestations of misogyny, xenophobia and digital microfascism in the comments reveal a structure of online violence that reaches the personal and political spheres. Methodologically, the study adopts a qualitative approach, based on the direct observation of sponsored posts and on the manual recording of comments, reactions, GIFs, and other multimodal interactions. The objective is to examine how these discourses operate as devices that violate the fundamental human right to communication. The results indicate that the attacks, far from being mere opinions, are manifestations of a logic of control, with hostility towards appearance operating as misogynistic policing of bodies, rejection of their presence in Europe reactivating a colonial mentality, and artistic disqualification directly attacking cultural freedom. We conclude that this symbolic violence seeks to silence dissenting voices, constituting a serious violation of dignity and the right to exist in the public space.
