Abstract

The multi-dimensional aspect of Florianismo, that is, what we generally designate "of the government" and "of the street (popular culture),” respectively, "major" as opposed to "petty" politics. We conclude that that ambiguity resulted in the progress of order according to the logic of a minimum consensus. This investigation focused on this phenomenon in the city of Rio de Janeiro between 1893 and 1897.
