Resumo

This paper aims to show how Frame Semantics contributes to the research of constructions of a language. The view of grammar that subsidizes this work is the Cognitive Construction Grammar, a model of grammar emerged within the Cognitive Linguistics. The analyzed objects are three constructions linked to the “Superlative Constructions of Brazilian Portuguese” macro project. In general, the results point to the relevance in the association of the theories, in which the Frame Semantics contributes in a very productive way in understanding the significance of the construction patterns analyzed, as well as in the understanding of the elements that compose them.
