Processos de subjetivação e intersubjetivação em usos do verbo calcular no português

Abstract

This paper analyzes the processes of subjectivation and intersubjectivation in uses of the verb calcular, in order to highlight its trajectory of change. The verb calcular, as well as admitir, pensar, supor and imaginar expressed mental processes closely linked to the comprehension and the memory (HALLIDAY, 1985), as well as to the planning of the communication. Based on Traugott and Dasher (2001), Neves (1996), Casseb-Galvão (1999; 2000), Gonçalves (2003) and Fortilli (2013), it’s possible to perceive, along with the parenting of the verb calculus, and the salience of intersubjectivity, with an abstraction of meaning. For the collection and analysis of data, we selected cases found between the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries in the Corpus do Português (DAVIES; FERREIRA, 2006). In this way, we’ll present the effects of the actuation of these two mechanisms that provide semantic changes in the verb under analysis.
