Amnesty International and Israeli apartheid.
A late but necessary positioning

This article presents and critically analyzes the main findings of the Amnesty International report, which describes and condemns the practice of the crime of apartheid by the State of Israel. The aim here is to evaluate the specificity of this report in relation to previous publications of the organization itself and of others that had already defended this conclusion, as well as to contrast this document with selected bibliography to ensure a better understanding of the issue. It is introduced with a conceptual presentation and with a brief background of AI and of the debate on the case. Next, the structure and the main points of the report are presented, so that it can be contrasted and criticized based on other relevant academic documents and analyses. It concludes by highlighting the relevance and pertinence of the apartheid typification to describe the situation as a whole.
