Abstract

This article analyzes the rates published by a set of periodicals during the transition period of the civil-military dictatorship in Brazil, period of the so-called "grande imprensa". The chosen journals were the newspapers Folha de S.Paulo and Jornal do Brasil, while Revista Veja was chosen to cover the national territory, leaving the Rio-São Paulo axis. Charges representing the president chosen by the Electoral College in the year of his pose until his death in the same year were selected.
