Abstract

In the present work we deal with the process of construction of what we call the "quilombola archive", a file that is produced in the opening of the land regularization process of the lands of social groups that currently call themselves "remnants of quilombos", when the Technical Delimitation Reports and Identification (RTIDs) are writing3 . How do the archives on the communities in question are produced? The central idea is that the own process of political transformation of communities into remnants of quilombos produces a archive, which means the constitution of the archive as a gesture4 . Thus, we will take the process of constructing the archive as an object to be interpreted, perceiving the gestures of the people involved in its production.
