Abstract

Mexico has been governed for nearly 70 years by the same party, the Partido Revolucionario Institucional - PRI. This paper has the objective of discussing aspects that makes the PRI government penetrate the deepest lines of daily life of Mexican citizens and how it has remained in power for so many decades. For this purpose, some of the strategies for perpetuating this party are analyzed, that is, from the use of violence to the more subtle means, such as ideological control through the press discourse and the diffusion of erotic cinematographic material influencing the cultural dynamics of this country, for this is brought the example of the production denominated Cine de Ficheras. Therefore, the present article proposes to analyze the cultural impact of such actions in the context of the daily relations of the country
