Abstract

This work aims to foster the debate on the teaching of the history of religions in view of their pedagogical importance. As a starting point, the article questions issues related to the theme, such as: modernity and the propagation of absolute truth, which ends up presenting a single path for humanity. In this way, authors such as Jörn Rüsen, Paulo Freire and multiculturalism followers were very useful to reflect on the situation of the history teacher who teaches religious teaching.
