Abstract

This text aims to demonstrate the changes in the debate on economic development in Brazil in light of the transformations in the forms of capitalist accumulation in the global scenario. Through a brief reading of the developmental trajectories of the central countries, it is evident that the reforms of the capitalist mode of production provided a change in the scales of development, impelling localized strategies.
