The work process of the office team on the street in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic

Objective: to understand the Consultório na Rua team's perception of the work process during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: Qualitative research with eight professionals from the Consultório na Rua team in a capital city in the northeast of Brazil, between September and November 2020. A semi-structured interview guide was used. The statements were recorded in audio and video and later transcribed and subjected to thematic analysis according to Minayo. Results: The results in relation to the experiences of Consultório na Rua professionals in providing care during the COVID-19 pandemic were grouped into two thematic categories: the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the work process of the Consultório na Rua team and the physical and psycho-emotional health of the Consultório na Rua professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. Final considerations: The COVID-19 pandemic imposed challenges on the work process, requiring adaptation to the new health context and the management of limited resources. The physical and psycho-emotional health of professionals was also impacted. This study contributes to the identification of challenges and coping strategies for the team, which contributes to the formulation of public health and social policies adapted to the reality of HP and the professionals responsible for assistance.
