Permanent Health Education as a care management instrument in Primary Care: an experience report on updating in the vaccine room

Aim: To report on the training experience carried out along the nursing team and the Community Health Agents from a Primary Health Unit about vaccinal updates, and children and teenagers’ vaccine card updating. Method: an experience report of a training about vaccines, carried out over three days with the nursing team and Health Agents. The vaccination schedule of children, adolescents, adults, elders, and pregnant women was discussed, and two days were dedicated for updating the vaccination card of students on a public school. Results: The training and vaccination action were marked by positive feedbacks, as the professionals acknowledged the relevance of its content and applicability under the perspective of promoting health and preventing diseases. Conclusion: The training corroborated on deepening the knowledge on vaccinal updates. The vaccination in the school allowed the update of the vaccination card of children and adolescents.
