This study examines the operationalization of e-SUS Primary Health Care (e-SUS APS) regarding the recording, monitoring, and evaluation processes from the perspective of dental surgeons working within the Family Health Strategy (FHS) in Sanitary District (SD) VI of Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. Using an exploratory, qualitative design, eight dental surgeons from the Oral Health teams of FHS SD VI of Recife were interviewed. Data were analyzed using content analysis methodology. All participants were female (100%), primarily between 40 and 61 years of age (87.5%), and had been working in the FHS for 10 to 19 years (75%). The findings revealed a lack of monitoring and evaluation activities within the teams, difficulties in system navigation, excessive workload, system malfunctions, and insufficient time and training. However, the study also identified positive aspects, including the tool’s perceived utility, efficiency, and ability to support work process organization. In conclusion, the information generated is compromised by inadequate monitoring and evaluation, highlighting the need for improved professional training to optimize tool usage.
