The project about “Experiences and Apprenticeship in the Circumstances of the Brazilian Unified Health System” (VER-SUS) aims to encourage the training of professionals mobilized with the consolidation of Brazilian Health System (SUS). We present an experience of VER-SUS that occurred from immersion in camps of the Landless Workers' Movement (MST). Inspired by the Josué de Castro’s methodology, several activities were planned to know the situation of SUS and to integrate the workers. Medical and Psychology students who participated were able to get to know the life of the camp residents, the reality of the SUS and the relationships established between them. The chosen methodology enabled the knowledge of the existing public policies, the difficulties of access and the fragility of the training of health professionals with regard to the rural population. Even though brief, the experience consolidated the participants' commitment to building a quality health system for all.
