MALNUTRITION: FATOR THAT INFLUENCE IN LEARNING FOR CHILDREN OF A PUBLIC SCHOOL

Brazil is hit by economic, social and cultural factors that can influence the misery and consequently in malnutrition, causing deficits in the school learning. The aim was to identify factors related to learning school in malnourished children. Descriptive exploratory research performed in a Public School - Fortaleza - CE, with six teachers of kindergarten. The data collection used to observing simple and semi-structured, emerging categories after data analysis: Child malnutrition in the school; Seeking maximize relations, Food interfering in learning and School snack an utopia. It was observed that children malnourished or with food shortages have difficulties of assimilation and that the hunger hinders the ability to concentrate compromising the yield. It is concluded that the Brazilian educational policy needs to change as regards feeding of school-age children. Key words: Malnutrition. School Feeding. Learning.Downloads
