Resumo

Were studied the microgastropoda fauna collected at the Candeias Beach, Municipal district of Jaboatão dos Guararapes in Pernambuco State. The mollusks were collected from the surface of seaweeds Padina gymnospora (Kuetzing) Sonder and Hypnea musciformis (Wulfen) Lamouroux, and identified as Caecum ryssotitum Folin. They were isolated from the algae by means of the process of washing in running water on sieves of several dimensions of meshes. Densities ranged from 03 to 53 ind./100
mL of algae volume. There was larger density of C. ryssotitum in the winter (April) perhaps for it being influenced by a larger food disponibility.
