Abstract

This analysis has a precedent of a discussion organized by Unila’s Cineclube CineLatino about Monos; a film directed by Alejandro Landes. The text finds in the film three main instances to address the narratives of armed violence in Colombia in the post-peace agreement framework and the aesthetics that have emerged about the actors of the war: mythical allegories as instances of authority; the role of different stereotypes of women in the scenario of armed conflict; childhood and the processes of demobilization and social reintegration, ending with a brief reflection regarding the poetics of the geographies of violence.
