Resumo

Inglês: This paper contrasts different views about the relations between language and thought, wich are fairly present in linguistic and psychological research and also classic in philosophical tradition. One the them sees language as an expressive and comunicative device linguistically embodying the world representations that shape thought. The other, assigns language an interpreting role that determines and mediates subject and world relations.
