This is an experience report carried out with Design academics, from Ufes, in the Image Semiotics discipline, by Prof. Telma Valente, in 2018 and 2019. It refers to the Design and Development of experimental packaging produced based on its design methodologies, having the theoretical contribution of Peircean Semiotics. The aim was to apply and consolidate the concept of phenomenological categories. Furthermore, packaging development strategies should prioritize its ability to sensitize the different senses, providing users with a sensorial experience. The results were sui generis packaging recorded in the unboxing videos. This article aims to publicize this initiative and present the phenomenological categories aligned with the concept of Sensory Design, supported by Braida and Nojima (2011), Santaella (1983,1995) and Sato (2016). The scarcity of similar articles, the possibility of giving visibility to American Semiotics and raising awareness about its relevance as a component of the curricular matrix justify this proposal.
