This study seeks to present how cinema presents Islamic women, both in the West, more specifically in the North American world, and in the East, emphasizing Turkish cinema, based on the studies of Dönmez-Colin (2010) and Touzani and Hirschman (2019). For this work, the concept of artistic production in cinema was analyzed, as well as who cinema serves. Thus, it can be seen that the role of the Islamic woman in cinema still lacks, in both contexts, a broad interpretation beyond the vision of a submissive or sensual woman, who only serves the interests of the harem and who must be maintained. away from society and in constant silence.
