Grupos de Residentes de Punta del Este (Uruguay) Según su Actitud Hacia el Turismo

Resumo

Desde los años setenta se han realizado múltiples estudios sobre las actitudes de los residentes, pero muchos consideran a los residentes como un todo homogéneo. Es lógico y razonable esperar variabilidad entre los residentes en cuanto a sus actitudes. En las últimas décadas, pocos estudios han segmentado a los residentes según sus actitudes. El objetivo de este trabajo es segmentar los residentes de Punta del Este y Maldonado (Uruguay) según sus actitudes hacia el turismo. Punta del Este es el principal destino de sol y playa de Uruguay. Se ha realizado un análisis clúster, mediante la técnica de K-medias, sobre una muestra de 360 residentes. Los grupos obtenidos fueran: Partidarios Entusiastas, Proteccionistas y Partidarios con opinión Matizada. El resultado más destacable de este estudio es que, aunque hay distintas posturas entre los residentes, no hay ningún grupo con una actitud de clara oposición al turismo.
