The Coronavirus pandemic caused intense changes in the daily lives of humanity, affecting the mobility and routine of all individuals who depend on work to survive. As a result, Hotel Thermas, located in the city of Mossoró/RN, announced its closing in May 2020, leading to the dismissal of its more than 200 employees. In this context, this study aimed to analyze the situational-performatic frames of workers fired at Hotel Thermas. This study has an exploratory and qualitative character, carried out through semi-structured interviews with the participation of informants who worked at Hotel Thermas during the period in which it was closed. The abrupt change in the informants' routine, mass dismissals and insecurity in the search for new job opportunities were elements that had a negative impact on the emotional daily lives of these workers. It can be concluded, therefore, that the relationship between the importance of the working world for the individual, unemployment and the pandemic proved to be essential elements for understanding the impact of crises and how they affect the emotional daily lives of the interviewed.
