Abstract

The article proposes to develop the principle that it is possible to renew and enrich a field of knowledge from the assimilation of modes of imagination derived from another. The example that supports the argument is that of Music. It seeks to show how a certain mode of musical imagination, together with the use of concepts and perspectives inspired by music, could contribute to the renewal of several other fields of knowledge. For this, it shows how the musical imagination mode could inspire renewals in History, Linguistics, Philosophy, Anthropology, Sociology, Geography and Physics. The article concludes with an invitation to the experience of understanding each of the various fields of knowledge on the perspectives derived from modes of imagination drawn from other disciplines
